Winter is loudly knocking on your door. As the seasons change from one to another, so do our clothes. And along with your clothes, your fragrances should change as well. The words “Winter perfume” somehow draw a picture in mind of spicy, leathery and extra-tough fragrances. And when choosing for men there are hundreds of options because masculine perfumes are mostly strong. But you should also know, where there are many options, there is a chance of being confused about what to choose. Well, I am going to write about a brand that is really known for its intense creations.

Now you may be wondering why you need a different perfume for winter. The problem is, lighter and fresh summer fragrances don't work as well in chilly weather. As the temperature drops, the moisture content of the skin also decreases, causing the skin to become drier. And dry skin doesn't hold perfume as well as hydrated skin. When the weather turns cold, you need a strong perfume with heavy base notes and scents that have good projection and last for quite a while.

From intense and woody to clean and citrusy, those are the most wearable fragrances for men. When looking for the best winter fragrances for men, you should definitely try cedar, vetiver, amber, cinnamon, incense, spices, and leather. I hope by the end of this article, you will get to know about many of the suitable notes and perfumes to choose from for men in winter.

The Al Haramain collections have many options in this specific genre that I am talking about. Intense, Strong, and Radiating are the words to describe most men’s perfumes. Let’s Explore:

Haramain Amber Oud (Tobacco Edition)

The first one on my list is always from the Amber oud series. This one is the Tobacco edition and as the name suggests, the fragrance is all about being intense. The notes are mostly Spicy like Black pepper, Cinnamon, Star anise and Cloves. But Tobacco leaf is present in the top and base notes and wrapped up the whole fragrance. It is one of the most intense creations of the brand and has a very masculine effect to it. The tobacco is mostly sweet and not so overpowering.

Haramain Portfolio Imperial Oud

While talking about strong fragrances, an Oud perfume is so much expected to be on the list. The portfolio series of Haramain is very prominent in the notes by the way. By the name of the line, Imperial oud, it is easy to project that, Imperial; oud is all about the oriental touch. The Amber and Incense create the depth on the first sniff but later it turns to strong and deep Agarwood. If you are not very familiar with Oud fragrances, I would not suggest you start with this. This is more suitable with leathery outfits. However, it has a very wild effect to it.

Haramain Portfolio Neroli Canvas

Another Portfolio creation deserves to be on the list. Now, this is not a very wintery type that I have been mentioning from the beginning of this article. It is more in the citrus genre. But great for those who love strong perfumes with good projection yet no strong notes like Agarwood or Cedar. It comes in a 75ml bottle and to be it is a worthy buy because it suits autumn, winter and fall as well. The Petitgrain and Neroli mix with Lemon and Orange blossom that creates a very citrusy fresh aura around you. The Musk, Amber and a little shadowed Cedar have an awesome blend in the base. But the hero of this perfume is Neroli and Lemon.

Al Haramain L'Aventure Intense

The Second favourite series of mine in Al Haramain is the L’aventure series. I found every line in this series to be different from the others. However, only the Intense version in this series is very suitable for winter in my opinion. The top note of this perfume is very citrusy but having musk and Patchouli in the base note, made it very lasting on the skin. Because of having a little elemi, the consistency is a little hydrating as well. It makes sure that the perfume stays where you spray it.

Al Haramain Amber Oud Carbon Edition

Moss. Moss. Moss. What else to say? If you are into damp and wet fragrances, this one is a go-to. It has a visible marine accord to it. The consistency is very hydrating and the liquid has a good texture to hold on to. This one has an awesome projection. But trust me, no other perfume in this series is as calming as this one.

Haramain Areej Al Oud

Good news for those who were looking for occidental winter collections. This perfume does not do justice to its name. The scent feels very refreshing and tough at the same time. This is the proper formal wear on a winter day. Areej al Oud is basically a day perfume and has Guaiac wood in the middle note. Everyone knows, how warm can a guiac wood be. The Sandal in the base note is the strongest one in the chart to hold on to. I personally couldn’t find saffron while sniffing it.

Al Haramain Opulent Saffron

Opulent Saffron got its place on the list because of its strong floral notes. Men usually feel uncomfortable while wearing floral perfume. But opulent differs from all others. The cherry blossom, ylang-ylang and Heliotrope play too well with the suede in the base note. I haven’t found opulent’s scent to change from time to time. It is a twisted combination of all. But the toughness is there throughout the time you wear it.
Al Haramain L'Aventure Knight

I was writing about the intense version earlier and suddenly it struck me that I almost forgot to write about the one that I got as a gift for someone recently. I might be overlooking the power of this one but to many people, this one is close to their heart. Not being a fan of iris, I cannot describe the Knight version so well. But the projection and lasting of this one. Oh My God! I decided to keep this, especially for the performance I noticed. The sharp Ambergris is there to back up the sandal in the base note. You can try it in any of the outlets and just let me know how you feel about it.

AL HARAMAIN GOLDEN OUD

The last one but the most mentionable one is a winter perfume for men. Spicyness, Floral, Woods what is not there? I personally found The 50 years' collections from this brand very spicy but the Golden version has a more woody touch to it. If you are a fan of gothic dark fragrances, go for it. This one is WILD. Definitely an evening perfume. The fragrance suits wool very well. The Black pepper gives this one an edge. The Agarwood and sandalwood are just overwhelming notes in this one.

AL HARAMAIN Musk Maliki

The Musk Maliki is like a colorful flower garden in blossom. An airy top note will embrace you as you enter the garden, sprinkling you with dews of freshness. Green apple and Violet's tangy fragrance is combined with Lemon. It surely gives an amazing initial impression. Italian jasmine with Bulgarian rose and Sweet Geranium. The floral picture can be found as you stroll around the garden. You'll be noticed in every room thanks to the tangy notes. The sensation of sandalwoods and the finesse of Musk will captivate you. The Garden tour will be complete with attraction in your aura. It is a very powdery musk perfume that travels in the air.
